How To Keep Your Apple Devices Clean During COVID-19.

The products we know and love, use everyday and have become an extension of ourselves unfortunately could also potentially be putting yourselves and your family/friends at risk. For example the average mobile phone is covered in over 25,000 bacteria per square inch, and according to Quartz, the novel Coronavirus can live up to 96 hours on phone screens.
There are steps you can take to safeguard your technology and yourselves
- If a caller asks to speak to another person that’s in your presence, avoid passing your phone over to that person. Instead ask the caller to ring that person directly or place the call on speakerphone. This is to avoid phone to face contact amongst multiple people
- Take your calls in speakerphone mode or use headphones/earphones to avoid phone to face contact
- Avoid sharing smartwatches, headphones/earphones
- Regularly cleaning your mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches, keyboards and any other tech items that might handle with an isopropyl alcohol wipe

What OOBE are doing
If you visit our stores you may find the benches a little empty.
That’s because we have taken all demo product off display to minimise risk to our customers and staff from handling these products. This includes MacBooks, iPads, iPhones & Apple Watch. iMac is still on display but we have removed the keyboard & mouse.
If you wish to see any demo products please ask any of our staff but please only do so if absolutely necessary.
What we ask of our customers
We ask that if you are feeling unwell please refrain from visiting us at this time.
Any items that require service, we ask that you first thoroughly clean the device following the guidelines listed here, then place the device in a padded envelope or sleeve (if possible) before bringing it into our service department.
Our technicians will be thoroughly cleaning all devices on arrival and allowing the device to “rest” for 24 hours before we begin an assessment. Naturally, this will increase turn around times, we ask for your patience as we work to get your device back to you as soon as possible.
Finally, we have a few products below to assist our customers in their work from home efforts.
We are offering free shipping on all products on our website for the foreseeable future.
